The HAP Advisors Story
Glenn Patterson is a seasoned Senior Executive and Board Member with more than 42 years of success with strategic planning, ownership transition, rapid growth management, extensive financial leadership, process improvement, operational management, startups, mergers and acquisitions, lean operations, company culture, leadership development, team building, and sustaining growth. His direct industry experiences are in small and medium-sized businesses, including startups, in the electrical construction businesses, manufacturing industries, and renewable energy industries.
Throughout his career, Glenn has held various leadership positions within the electrical construction, energy, and manufacturing industries. He has served as President and CFO of the Oregon Electric Group; Division Manager, Project Executive, and Preconstruction Manager/Energy Storage and Microgrids at Rosendin Electric; and Director of Clean Energy Services at Christenson Electric.
Glenn has also served as a Board Member for numerous organizations including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Wired Sun, Axion Power International, and Shopoff Properties Trust. He is also a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, and Electric International. Glenn’s board member positions include board chair (Wired Sun), audit committee chair (Axion and SPT), and compensation committee chair (Axion).
Glenn received his Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Economics from Willamette University where he was awarded the Wall Street Journal’s Top Economic Graduate Award. He regularly participates in continuing education and professional development courses on topics including project and financial management, smart grids, and energy storage.
Glenn has had significant success over the years as he has led and served as a key contributor to numerous organizational achievements. While at Oregon Electric Group, he led the implementation of a lean (process improvement) and leadership development program that grew sales from $16M to $120M in only six years. In his role at Rosendin Electric, he led the implementation of a lean structure and grew his division to more than 550 employees and more than $180M in revenue, a significant growth from the year before, while having minimal overhead cost increase. Additionally, Glenn led the evaluation, acquisition, and integration process for more than 13 organizational teams that were brought into (acquired by) the Oregon Electric group which brought increased company services, profits, and customers.
